News Letter March 22

Bingo, Practices starting, tournament managers

GMLB News

Hello everyone:

Finally, the fields are clearing up and we should be able to start practices this week.

Bingo: Thank you to all that were able to come on Saturday Night to our Bingo Event at the Greenfield Elk (Thank you for letting us use your space to the Greenfield Elks!). This was one of our most successful Bingo events and will help our league tremendously. Special Thank you to all the Sponsors who donated Raffle Prizes as well.

Parents/Guardians: By now you should have been contacted by the Team Manager for our players team. If you have not, please check your email for an email (especially look for an invite to gamechanger as many of the coaches use this for scheduling and communication). Make sure to check your spam folders. If you have not been contacted yet, please send me an email and I will check with your coach.

Gamechanger: As mentioned, most if not all teams use gamechanger. Please note there is a function now that allows you to “sync” your gamechanger team to your phone’s calendar. Fee free to email me if you have gamechanger questions.

Managers: Please make sure you have given your list of coaches to Brian Winslow by 3/25/26.

Tournament Teams: Even though the season it just starting, we need to start prepping for the Tournament season now. For information see: TOURNAMENT TEAMS - Greenfield Minor League Baseball We will have updated information as we get closer to the try-out dates. For now, please see the below.

  • Tournament Manger/Head Coach: For each of the Tournament Teams, we need a manager/head coach to manager the team. If you would like to be considered, please reach out to the GMLB President (Ethan Wilkins) no later than April 1st 2026. Ethan can be emailed at gmlbpresident@gmail.com We need a manager for each of these teams: 12U, 11U, 10U, 9U and 8U. Our Board of Directors will confirm the team manager for each level and vote, if necessary, if multiple people volunteer for the same age group.
  • Tournament Try-Outs: The first tryout for each team will be scheduled for the weekend of April 25/26. Final times will be posted in Mid April for each age group after managers are confirmed for each team.

Note: You will be receiving this information twice today. First directly from my email, then from our automatic notification system/news page. If you do not get the second email, please make sure your email is in our system (it will be automatically if the email provided on registration was correct). Future news items will come directly from the system. You can see them under the News section at www.gmlb.org If you didn’t get the email, you can sign up by filling in the information on the front page of www.gmlb.org under “stay in touch” section. Just scroll down on the first page.
