Hello everyone. What a great 2026 season Here is some updated information
REMINDERS:
GMLB NEW Board Members Needed:
This year we are recruiting new board members to Join our Board of Directors. We have several board members who may not continue next year, so we are looking for new people to join.
Our next meeting is Thursday Sep 3rd at 8PM at the Greenfield Elks Club. All of our meetings are open for anyone to come. At this we will select any new board members to join for the 2026-2027 season. We invite you to come to this meeting, to see what we do each month and have any of your questions answered. You can also email me at gmlbsuhl@gmail.com if you have questions, or email our president or other board members. It is very important for us to get new board members each year, especially if your player(s) have just joined the league and they are young.
A few notes on being a board member:
- Help Shape Our Kids' Season: Join the GMLB Board!
- Do you love baseball and want to help local kids grow? Our Little League needs your energy on our board.
- Make a direct impact, plan fun game days, and support youth sports in our town.
- While you can be a coach, Board Members are separate. You do not have to be a coach to join the board of directors.
Typical roles each year.
- President / Vice President of each division / Secretary / Treasurer: / Player Agent: / Coaching Coordinator / Concessions / Umpire Coordinator / Equipment manager / Registration / Uniforms / General League Administration / GMLB Field Crew / GMLB Project Committee / GMLB Sponsors / Opening Day / Greenfield Ducks Tournament Teams / General Board members that help with any and all of these, and more.
- We meet once a month for one to two hours.
EVALUATIONS: At our next board meeting we will be establishing the 2027 Evaluation Committee and a date for the Fall Evaluations for the 2027 Season.. Please be on the lookout for the dates and times of the Fall Evaluation:
- Evaluation Date will likely be near the end of September or early October
- All returning and new players next year are expected to evaluate for next season. It is best for the league that we get as many done in the fall as we can.
- Registration is not required to do the fall evaluations.
- New players to the league are asked to do the evaluation as well. No registration is required at this time. Information will be coming after our meeting on Sep 3rd.
